Pete Townsend is an early-stage investor, advisor, and long-time operator in crypto, fintech, AI, and onchain finance. After nearly two decades in global financial services with BNP Paribas and Fidelity, he pivoted hard into crypto and venture in 2016, investing in and mentoring founders across Europe, the US, and Asia.
He led the Techstars Web3 Accelerator from 2021-25, reviewing thousands of pitches, helping dozens of founders sharpen their strategy, narrative, and execution, and investing in 40 companies. Today, Pete runs Norio Ventures, a solo GP fund backing unstoppable founders building onchain finance.
